The God's Little Treasures™ Reader's Army™ is a completely volunteer effort aimed at reading and talking about God and His love for us with small children. We believe that there is nothing more important than spending time with a young child and reading with them about God and discussing what a gift our life is and our responsibility to bring love into this world as a wonderful part of God's creation, made in His image.
Christian Media Institute™ (CMI) has set a goal of having each of the books in its God's Little Treasures™ children's book series read to 1,000,000 children ages 5 to 8 years.
This forum has been set up to give the adults and children who participate a place to communicate and share their experiences in reading the God's Little Treasures™ books. It has also been structured to track and document progress towards CMI's goal. We know that achieving this goal will be impossible without a great number of volunteers participating in the effort. WE NEED YOU to join the Reader's Army™!
All of the books in the God's Little Treasures™ series will contain thought-provoking anecdotes and facts about the "simple wonders" of animal life all around us to move the reader to a common-sense realization that the order and intricate detail that exists in our world could not just have "happened" and, if it did not just happen, to further consider and accept how awesome and loving a Creator must be behind it all!
We are developing a guide and tools to help you and to help make it a fun experience to conduct the readings for everyone involved. You will find these available under Reader's Army™ Volunteer Toolkit.
The only thing you need to do to become a part of the Reader's Army™ is register on this forum, read thoroughly through all of the information available and begin posting your successes and experiences. So, c'mon, get started and...GO READ!
We include the following scripture passage to encourage you in decision to participate as a volunteer:
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them, and said, "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew, Chapter 18, Verses 1-4
